Covering the business of education and training

Higher education has endured some earlier, um, fads.  Perhaps this fopro* thing will come and go as well.

1. The creation of land-grant colleges so kids of the working class could prepare for work.

2.  The introduction of evening classes and adult classes

3.  Building of nearly 1000 open admission, two-year colleges

4.  Founding of primarily research-oriented institutions

5.  The racial integration of all colleges

6.  Distance learning

7. Electronic collaborations among campuses

8. Online/on deman education

9...and now education for-profit....no way it's going to make it.
