It's hard to beat Stanford's Business School program....if for no other reason, you have that tremendous network of previous graduates to work when you graduate.
But, stanford thinks they can still do things better.
Beginning in the fall of 2007, gee, that's quick for a giant like Stanford, Stanford will introduce two new characteristics to its MBA program.
1. Customization -
2. Flexibility -
Stanford surveyed hundreds of its students and alums. What they heard was that one size does NOT fit all students.
Students come from different backgrounds, have different work histories, have different undergraduate degrees and a variety of goals. And they had to ask their alumni to find that out. I think I could have told them.
Future students will have a program tailor made for them AND each student will be required to sign up for a global experience - something like an overseas internship or an exchange with a student from Tsinhua U. in China.
superb ideas, I think.
And people wonder why Stanford is considered one of the best.
Now we know.
What do you think?
