The Boston Globe reported that the Broad Institute, a joint research organization of Harvard and MIT has found itself between a rock and hard place.
The mission of the Broad Institute is to create new molecules that could be useful in developing new drugs.
This sounds like something Harvard and MIT would do, doesn't it?
However, one of the Broad Institute sponsors is suing another sponsor to block distribution of new drugs.
Whoa...let's see. Let's make new molecules so we can make new drugs.
No...let's make new molecules so we can make new drugs and NOT distribute them.
It sounds to me like one of the sponsors is backing the wrong institute.
But then, money is involved to be sure. That's what sponsorship does...contribute money.
