Non-profits are concerned with who is at and who comes to their institutions.
Non-profts try to be as selective as possible.
1. They accept students with the highest ACT/SAT/GMAT scores.
2. They hire faculty with the highest qualifications.
3. They prepare the very best sports/arts programs and activities.
And then they sit back and say, "Look what we have here. Aren't we grand?"
Non-profits do not report on how many people they are able to place into their schools, rather, they like to say how many people could not get in.
The smaller the percentage of people who actually make it, the more selective the school appears to be. And selectivity = quality, right?
