New MAC hardware based on Intel processors have erased the gap between them and HPs, Dells and others.
MACs can now run Windows programs if making that transition is an obstacle.
Windows VISTA is playing catch up to MACs OS X and by the time VISTA comes out, MAC plans an even newer version.
MAC applications, such as iPhoto and GarageBand are steadily improving.
MACs are hip.
MACs make better commercials.
MACs are expensive and the laptop choices are limited - 13in widescreen - $1099, 15.4in and 17in wides start at $2k and go up to $3K.
MACs come in only two unique desktop designs...the iMac 17in ($1299) and 20in ($1699)...and the MAC mini.

Windows PCs claim more than 95% of the market.
Windows PCs are cheaper than MACs.
Windows PCs are for very serious gamers. I mean, who can study ALL the time?
Windows PC laptops come in various shapes and sizes.
Windows PCs can accomodate external monitors.
Windows PC makers often have contracts wtih schools to provide discounts and on-site service.
Windows PCs look like PCs instead of bubble boxes.
Windows PCs are not cool but they work...most of the time, anyway.
