I was reading a report about the national commission on higher education blaming the colleges and universities for their inefficencies and ineptitude.
In other words...the public colleges and universities are NOT doing their jobs.
One proposal is to have a national test, aka fourth grade style - to measure who is doing their job and who isn't.
The public schools and colleges are balking at this. Their reason - Privacy Grounds.
Say what?!
No one is asking them to tell anyone how any individual is doing. But rather how the institution as a whole is doing or NOT.
What a lame excuse.
Can't a college or university do better than that when they want people sitting in their classroom and seeing the grade results?
Fopros open their books.
Elementary schools open theirs.
It is high time the non-profit public higher ed institutions become more transparent.
what do you think?
