In 1999 and 2003 DePaul University was ranked number one in having the "Happiest Students."
For the past four years it has been in the top 20 of "Great College Towns" this year ranking number 5.
However, what DePaul seems to be happiest about is being ranked number one in "Diverse Student Population."
With more than 23,000 students, DePaul is the 10th largest private, not-for-profit university in the country.
Some 32% of the undergraduate student population are minority students and nearly 30 percent of freshmen were first-generation college students.
Hang on now...I teach at a branch campus for a fopro that has some 80 such campuses in the US. A full 70% of my students sitting in my classroom right now, as I write this posting are minority students. And 60% of them are first generation college students.
Excuse me, but DePaul is NOT the most diverse college in the US...not even close. And the Princeton Review needs to take a much closer look, including the fopros.
The Catholic university says its gay/lesbians, African Americans, Caucasians, Asians and people from all races accept one another for who they are.
Yep, sounds like my classroom...and we aren't Catholic.
Sorry, but the Princeton Review has not looked hard enough to find the most diverse campus in the nation.
What do you think?

i think these company need to take a second at other colleges in the country not isolating other college facilites whether they are the most diverse student population east or west the Rockies. that's being unfair. a lot of immigrants attend colleges here in the west coast especially in california, where majority have an asian background or from other parts of the world relocate here to complete their college education.
