Do you or does your new student have an Trivoli Audio iYiYiPod Clock Radio in his/her dorm room?
Things have come a long way since I went to college. Not the least of which is the price of tuition.
I called to enroll my son in a one week cram pre-fall class offered at my alma mater and was stunned to find out the price for one unit had gone up more than 1000% since I attended.
But that stunned effect went away when I was recently reading an article in Businessweek.
I couldn't believe the recommendations that the rag gave for the new student's, um, 'necessities' in a dorm room.
On the list was a $299 alarm clock!! Holy Moly! What in the world!?!
The clock boasts an AM/FM tuner....yea! Who listens to that? You mean the student would actually search for a station to listen to?
It, too, has speakers in it to go with the Rocker and the speaker system.
The clock will use tunes in the student's iPod as a wake-up call.
A student might need a surround sound speaker system, a rocker with speakers and this ridiculous alarm clock to wake them up.
Does a student need a $299 alarm clock to wake them up? I YI YI is right!
