
Mine, mine, mine...sounds like a Finding Nemo video clip.
OnStar is used by millions of drivers = brings in a lot of money.
Rutgers University says they have the patent on the technology. General Motors is not so quietly raking in the money from installing the system in its vehicles.
What eats at me here is another example of a public university in the heat of a law suit. Shouldn't the state of New Jersey be fighting this battle? Doesn't Rutgers belong to NJ?
And who is paying the lawyer's fees? How much did tuition go up to have to fund those charges?
I don't know who is at fault here - GM, Rutgers, OnStar or Outtasight...but one thing is sure, there is a pubic institution of higher education doing what public institutions need not be doing...and wondering why they don't have enough money to meet their budget.
