If a kid were to say this, would anybody believe them?
The computer ate the test scores is what the Educational Testing Services is saying happened to 1500 Advanced Placement tests from this year.
Educational Testing Services administers the Advanced Placement testing program for the College Board.
There was a notice on the ETS web site that some 2,700 people had delayed scores and that they were sorry for 'uncertainty and inconvenience' created by the delay.
Teacher licenses were also delayed because of problems with the Praxis test also managed by ETS.
Teachers do NOT buy such excuses from their students. Tell me, why, should testing services be allowed to get away with them.
What ever happened to getting things done right in the US, the first time?
Shame on ETS! Now, I have to listen to students who say "I took the test, but the computer didn't report the score."
Come to think of it, I do get that excuse often from my online students. Maybe I shouldn't be so harsh with them next time.
What do you think?

Sometimes unlucky circumstances really do lead to reports, assignments or work youve done to getting lost. There is always that possibility which is why (especially on computers) people should back things up!
I can't believe the ETS didn't/doesn't have any kind of back up system incase of situations like this.
