I know parents who hope their kids will NOT get into college and then hope they do and then hope they don't.
Tuition, room & board, books, supplies and school fees can run from $20K to nearly twice that. Show me the financial Aid!
If I do get in AND get out, what happens then is what students AND parents really want to know.
These schools, say their students are the WORST at helping them with financial aid.
10. Spelman College www.spellman.edu
9. Emerson College www.emerson.edu
8. SUNY - Binghamton www.binghamton.edu
7. University of Tennessee - Knoxville www.utk.edu
6. University of Maryland - College Park www.maryland.edu
5. Hofstra University - www.hofstra.edu the students might do better if they could remember how to spell the name on their application.
4. University of Mary Washington www.umw.edu
3. Penn State - university Park - www.psu.edu less than $20K but might as well be $200K if you don't have the money. I saw a sign, however, it costs more money to send someone to the State Pen than to Penn State.
2. University of Massachusetts - Amherst www.massachusetts.edu I thought this school was a bargain at less than $10K for tuition, R & B and books and then I saw it had almost $8,000 in other fees. What's with that?
1. New York University - www.nyu.edu Total costs $45K! Guys love it if they can get in...there are almost twice as many girls there as there are fellows.
The www.PrincetonReview.com rankings are a source of much debate, maybe even a few fist fights when the schools are neighbors. The book ranks schools in some 60+ different categories. The results are based on surveys given to those who should know best - the students who attend. And PR asked more than 115,000 such students.
