
China's vocational secondary schools aim to do something about that.
With a curriculum that requires the students spend half of their learning time on the job practicing new skills, the vocational schools are hoping to enroll as many as 8 million students next year.
If successful, the vocational schools will have as many students as the high schools do.

Skilled blue collar workers can make more money than teachers and other 'professionals' hands down.
