eCollege may be thinking so. eCollege has hired a group to court potential buyers for its Datamark, Inc. enrollment marketing division.
eCollege was purchased just three years ago by its current owners but now, because of 'growth rates slower than we anticpated' eCollege wants to sell.
The CEO still thinks there is room to grow...he just doesn't want to do the hard work to make it happen.
In Japan, there is a business proverb..."ishi no ue ni mo san nen." It means you have to sit on a rock for three years. We say that if a company can survive three years it has a good chance of making it.
The eCollege owners are in their third year.
It's possible, they may be getting out too early, OR the company didn't have a chance in the first place.
What do you think?
