A key to getting into a good college is getting into the right high school - especially in Japan.
Some 250 high schools in Japan looked good to students until now.
At least 249 high schools in Japan did not teach some compulsory subjects needed for graduation. Then the schools forged the high school records so the kids could go on to college.
The kids didn't care, until now. Many students are forced to take 210-280 hours of EXTRA classes to make up for the subjects they were supposed to have already taken.
Yikes!
The last school I taught at, there was one prof who was particularly liked by students because he guaranteed they would pass, usually with an 'A.' But, when the students went into the work field they were found lacking in the skills supposedly taught by this one instructor and then were sent packing.
The students showed up back at school asking to audit the classes they had previously gotten an 'A' in at.
Imagine that, studying being the best way to success....
What do you think?
