When a student harms another student do any of them do it out of love? Isn't their an element of rage in most any crime that causes bodily injury? How about rage? Or stupidity?
The US Education Department has released figures on hate crimes on college campuses.
The number of bodily injury crimes is down from 2003 (36) - 2004 (16)
The number of arson related crimes is down from 2003 (3) - 2004 (0)
The number of motor vehicle crimes is down from 2003 (1) - 2004 (0)
The number of aggravated assault crimes is up from 2003 (13) - 2004 (14) but way down from 2002 (47)
The number of robbery crimes is the same as 2003 (2) - 2004 (2)
The number of non force sex offenses bodily injury crimes is zero in 2003 and 2004
The number of forced sex offenses is zero down from 2003 (5)
Great news here, eh? If kids are still hating one another, they must be finding out other ways of showing it. Perhaps taking pictures of them drunk and naked and posting them on the web?
