It seems that President Bush and his younger brother Governor Bush can't see eye-to-eye on the federal education law.
My brother and I can't see eye-to-eye on anything. It was a matter of principle that he disagreed with me on everything. Why is it surprising that these two brothers don't agree 100%?
Why does the media see it necessary to make their disagreement about which is best "No child Left Behind" or "Florida's A-plus Plan?"
I wonder if there even is a disagreement.
President Bush wants 100% of the nation's students to be able to read and do math by 2014.
Gov. Bush says that perfection is not going to happen. Gee, really?
Suppose the President had said to aim for 90%. Or No Child Left Behind Except the Ones Who Can't Keep Up.
I seriously wonder if there is anything that President Bush can do that the media won't twist to make it seem like a controversy. And now the media wants us to think the two brothers can't agree.
Well, I can't agree with my brother on most things either, but when push comes to shove, I will be there for him.
I bet Gov. B will be there for Pres. B. when the time comes, too.
What do you think?
