About $2,200 is received in grants and tax benefits...but it only covers about one-fourth of total tuition fee, housing and food costs.
60 percent of full-time two-year public college students and 56% of full-time public four-year college students from families with less than $30K income receive enough in grants and tax breaks to cover tuition and fees.
