Covering the business of education and training

Colleges often pride themselves on the diversity of their student body. There was one college in Wisconsin that wanted to charge its homegrown students more so that they (the college) could offer scholarships to minority and other country's students.

That to me is a bit extreme. If you want diversity, move to an area where the population is diverse...don't try to import it.

Anyway...the Princeton Review asked student bodies across the country if they thought their classmates came in different colors and flavors.

Here are the top Ten Homogeneous Student Populations

 8. Washington and Lee University

 6. University of Mary Washington

 3. Saint Anselm College

 1. Providence College

Providence College is 84% Caucasian, 2% Hispanic, 2% Asian and 1% African American. Providence students say about themselves - "We are all the same - white, catholic and from New England."

Uh...and also clueless to what other kinds of people there are in the world, too.
