University of Wisconsin-Madison has more than 7.2 million holdings. Google wants them all digitized and searchable on Google Book Search.

The other libraries that are presently cooperating with Google are:

1. Harvard

2. Michigan

3. New York Public Library

4. Oxford

5. Stanford

6. University of California

7. Complutense University - the largest university library in Spain

According to U Wisconsin News the Library of Congress is conducting a pilot project with Google.

What a great idea to make all the books, historical documents and such in the world available online.

Google thinks so, too...think of all the places they can place those little ads and charge ungodly prices to the unknowing for.
