Women are more likely to accept such a position than their male counterparts but the percentage of women accepting a tenure position is dropping.
However, the claim is based only on a drop that occured last year - hardly enough data to call it a trend.
So, why would women be less likely to accept a tenure-track position at such a prestigious school? Could it have something to do with President Summers comments on 'intrinsic aptitude' keeping women from top positions?
Or is it just the way things were last year?
What do you think?
