A 6' 4" 280 lb defensive lineman at the University of Miami was shot in the head and is dead. He is no longer on his way to the NFL.

The mountain of a man was at practice just hours before he was found in his apartment with the fatal gun shot.

This is the second time this season a UM player has been involved in a shooting. A cornerback was shot in the butt.

The lineman majored in criminology and one day hoped to join the FBI to track down idiots who would do such things to him.

I have a son who is going to school on an athletic scholarship (swimming). I can't imagine the heartache this boy's family must be going through.

The reason for the shooting and the culprit are still at large.

How sad to lose a boy with dreams and the ability, desire and hard work ethic to pursue them.
