The number of US students going overseas to learn is over 200,000, up 8% from last year.

This number is less than 40% of the total number of foreign students who come to the U.S. But then, there are a lot more students to draw from, eh?

There are what, more than 200 countries now in the world? Who can keep track?

There are 20 countries that are tops for US students heading abroad to learn according to www.opendoors.iienetwork.org

They are:

# 3 Spain,

# 4 France,

# 5 Australia,

# 6 Mexico,

# 7 Germany,

# 8 China - up 35% from last year and the only Asian country in the top 10.

# 9 Ireland,

# 10 Costa Rica,

# 11 Japan,

# 12 Austria,

# 13 New Zealand,

# 14 Czech Republic,

# 15 Greece,

# 16 Chile,

# 17 South Africa,

# 18 Argentina,

# 19 Brazil - up 28% over last year.

# 20 India - up 53% over last year!

Those students heading to India, China and Brazil, (where's Russia?) have the brightest future, perhaps.
