It's no mystery. An international education is priceless. How often does someone get to say, "I spent a year studying in France?"

Presently there are about 200,000 US students who can say, I studied in (pick a country). It will definitely make a difference on their resume, especially if the next word is Brazil, China, India or Russia.

Some institutions in the U.S. seem to be better at recognizing the need for students to go overseas. Of the more than 3000 colleges in the US, some 38 award academic credit for study abroad.

If you have the chance to go overseas to study - take it. Don't even think about it. Go! Learn! Fall in love! with the country, that is.
