In honor of the schools 100th year, a program has been designed to allow each of the Hawaii school systems 10 universities to provide $1000 a year to Hawaiian high schoolers who finish with a 3.8 GPA and get of 1800 or higher on the SAT.
The students must enroll full time and maintain a 3.0 GPA.
For students who enroll at the flagship Manoa campus, an additional $1,000 is offered.
That $1000 will cover about one fourth of the school's annual $4320 in tuiton or pay for all the annual $1112 textbook fee.
And if they don't want it go towards their school bill, well, they can buy themselves a nice surfboard.
Why would a student NOT want to go to school in Hawaii?
What do you think?
