
1. Students living in low-income families were approximately four times more likely to drop out of high school between 2003 and 2004 (the latest year for statistics) than were their peers from high-income families.
2. However, the averaged freshman graduation rate for the 3 most recent years for which data are available shows an increase from 72.6 percent for 2001
It looks like the schools are getting better at graduating white rich kids, and maybe the few low-income kids that do stick around.
Shouldn't the low-income kids be the ones that schools should work the hardest at getting through school?
