With that in mind, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) plans to fund 7,000 more overseas students in 2007, abt the same as this year.
The difference - China plans to send more graduate students than before.
The key areas that China wants its grad students to research are:
1. Energy
2. Environment
3. Life Sciences
4. New Materials
The primary destinations - United States, Great Britain, Germany, Australia and Canada.
Brain drain? Nah, China is starting to see not only these students, but more and more of their other students come home.
What do you think?
