Navy will play Boston College in the Meineke Car Care Bowl Game. Each team will take home between $750,000...that will make no difference to the average student's tuition costs.
What I learned today were a few more important numbers...the graduation rates of the students in the games.
Navy will graduate 98% of its football players - 91% of its African American football players. Compare that to a 99% overall student-athlete graduation.
Boston College will graduate 96% of it football players and 93% of its black players compared to a 96% overall graduation rate.
This is by far the smartest field of football players of all the bowl games. Everyone should watch and root for both WINNERS.
Nothing perhaps, as long as they can bring home money.
