Covering the business of education and training

For some reason that is beyond me schools cannot manage themselves. They also, apparently cannot manage their sporting events either.

The NCAA has selected RazorGator Experiences to manage the 2007 Final Four.

The company will provide ticket and hospitality managemnt including buying tickets back from fans whose teams don't advance. This action alone will keep scalpers away...they think.

RazorGators will also help with hotel accomodations, transportation, planning, catering, sales, entertainment, decor and other services.

The reason for hiring the company is to eliminate unauthorized third-party profit on the tournament and make third-party profit authorized and then fight fourth-party unauthorized profits.

NCAA returns 94 cents of every dollar it makes to member schools.

Question: Why can't the NCAA manage its own house?
