
There is strong support in America to increase global competitiveness by cultivating talent in science and math.
85% favor a program that will offer scholarships for students majoring in math and science.
87% support college scholarships for students who pass AP (advanced placement) classes in math and science.![]()
But...44% of Americans think math and science is too difficult and 33% think the classes are too boring (they want to learn physics by watching Apollo 11 instead of studying it).
Americans want to give money to the geeks who are smart enough and have no life so that they can keep America up with the world. Just don't make the average Joe and Jane do it, unless it's fun.
