
Purdue University rejected their demands to accept the students for a designated supplier program.
The students felt they had made enough progress to justify ending their strike.
One student, however, "worried my body would suffer damage that would be irreparable," he said.
Hunger strikes are a ridiculous way to get a point across, I think.
They are far to dramatic. Additionally, an empty stomach does not make a good advisor.
Credit goes to the Purdue President for making a rational as opposed to an emotional or hungry decision.
As soon as the student's digest their pita bread, maybe then they can sit down to have a talk.
