What I learned today were a few more important numbers...the graduation rates of the students in the games.
Troy will graduate 77% of its football players - 79% of its African American football players. Compare that to a 81% overall student-athlete graduation.
Rice will graduate 84% of it football players and 76% of its black players compared to a 75% overall graduation rate.
What's up with football players?
Nothing perhaps, as long as they can bring home money.
What do you think?

I have to comment on this series of cut-and-paste articles.
"Each team will take home between $325,000..." Between $325,000 and what?
"What's up with football players?" "Nothing perhaps, as long as they can bring home money." What is the writer getting at? The graduation rate of football players at Troy is nearly as high as the graduation rate of other student athletes. At Rice, it's higher. And both are excellent overall So, what is the problem?
