Covering the business of education and training

The Shanghai Education Commission jas 400 million yuan ($50 million) to spend in the next two years on suburban elementary education.  

A big chunk of that money is set to go for teacher training under the philosophy "training good teachers is far more difficult than erecting buildings."

With that in mind, the Shanghai city government is turning to the public sector for ideas.

Any company that can offer a definitive set of training courses can win the contract to train teachers headed to Qingpu. Jiading, Songjiang and Chongming.

It is interesting that China is looking to the for-profit sector to find ideas.

I wonder if teacher training higher institutions are throwing their hands up and holding them out...wanting that money to develop the courses themselves.
