Hawaii will play Arizona State in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl Game. Each team will take home too much money for the organizers to say clearly...that will make no difference to the average student's tuition costs.

What I learned today were a few more important numbers...the graduation rates of the students in the games.

Hawaii will graduate 49% of its football players - 45% of its African American football players. Compare that to a 65% overall student-athlete graduation.

Miami (FL) will graduate 56% of it football players and 51% of its black players compared to a 70% overall graduation rate.

What's up with football players?

Nothing perhaps, as long as they can bring home money.
