Correction:

Oklahoma University will play Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl. (Not Oklahoma State)

Each team will take home between $14-17 million..that will make no difference to the average student's tuition costs.

What I learned today were a few more important numbers...the graduation rates of the students in the games.

Oklahoma will graduate 52% of its football players - 43% of its African American football players. Compare that to a 67% overall student-athlete graduation.

Boise State will graduate 65% of it football players and 50% of its black players compared to a 71% overall graduation rate.

So, what's wrong with football players?

Nothing perhaps, as long as they can bring home umpteen million dollars.
