Japan's Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth thinks they have come up with another way to destroy, er, save the earth from global warming.
Instead of allowing CO2 emissions into the air, or just pumping the emissions into the ground only to be released later during crustal movements, the institute thinks they can tell nature how to do take care of the emissions for us.
When CO2 seeps into rock it turns into a salt-like substance and then afixes to the stone.
The research institute thinks they can tell the rocks when and how how much to do for the country...in the name of saving the planet, of course.
What happens when they run out of rocks? What kind of chemical reactions will there be when there are large amounts of salt-like CO2 composites in the earth?
The research institute plans a large-scale experiment in cooperation with various industries.
Gee...I hope those factories aren't in my neighborhood.
