Covering the business of education and training

The Bush Library, museum and public policy institute was promised 300 acres adjacent to Texas Stadium and amongst redeveloped retail, entertainment, housing and office space after the Dallas Cowboys move in 2009.

There was going to be a fountain, bluebonnet and rose gardens and a 250 acre Freedom Park that would host concerts.

Oak Trees - 43 of them, one for each president of the United States, along a trail.

Now...nothing. Zip.

Southern Methodist University was found to be the only finalist in Dallas for the museum....and the Methodists want no part of Bush.

Consequently, (though UD says there is no connection) the University of Dallas and the City of Irving have officially withdrawn their desire to host the library.

From what I understand, UD was never in the race in the first place...so, how could they withdraw?

SMU and their leftist faculty are the losers in my book.
