The experiment was designed to learn about animal movement, or in this case, total lack thereof.
For three years, the sloth did not move.
The scientists did three things in three years.
1. name the sloth, Mats.
2. entice the sloth with cucumbers
3. make the slothe homemade spaghetti
The sloth, they say, refused to climb up and then back down.
Question: if the sloth didn't budge in three years, how did they know it which way it was refusing to go?
A university spokesman's words of wisdumb - "Mats obviously wanted absolutely nothing to do with furthering science."
Yup...and neither did these scientists.
And, who was the guy who said, "Sure, we will fund these guys?"
What a waste!
