Zhang Ziyi was at Julliard studying English delivery skills, voice and dialect, to prepare for her upcoming film "Horsemen" with Dennis Quaid AND ...to do a voice over in an upcoming animated movie "TMNT" Teenage Mutant Turtles.
She will play Karai, the new leader of the Foot Ninja Clan.
I don't know much about movies...well, maybe I know nothing other than what I like to watch, but I know tons about Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL, EFL, TEFL, TESL, TESOL.....).
I wish she would have come to me to learn English...I could have saved her a bundle and it would have been a lot of fun for me....but then, I am sure she is not interested in saving money.
My point...you don't need to go to a prestigious school to learn English as your first or second language. You just need a teacher who knows what s/he is doing, who cares about his/her student and a teacher who wants to work hard.
One of the recent Popes was said to have spoken a dozen languages...and even he HAD TO STUDY.
It will be plenty fun for me to watch ZZ speak English in her upcoming thriller.
