 2. REAL teachers DON’T use learning activities as punishment.

 3. REAL teachers DON’T use elimination games or have students wait in lines.

 4. REAL teachers DON’T limit their curriculum to a few traditional exercises.

 5. REAL teachers DON’T grade students by guessingdressing out and “eye-balling” their effort.

 6. REAL teachers DON’T “ spotlight” students during testing.

 7. REAL teachers DON’T use testing once or twice a year for the purpose of giving out rewards, or just because the state wants the scores.

 8. REAL teachers DON’T waste time.

 9. REAL teachers DON'T give students partial attention.

10. REAL teachers DON'T make students wait unreasonably long for feedback.

11. REAL teachers DON'T ignore students' requests for help.

12. REAL teachers DON'T show partiality.

13. REAL teachers DON'T have double standards for themselves and their students.
