In a series of posts, I will share some questions I asked him and his answers....one at a time. That's how I do it...short and simple.
The first question:
Me: "If you had to mention only one thing you learned that no one ever tells you about blogging and podcasting, what would it be?"
Ted: I was simply amazed at how creative people are in using blogs and podcasts!
I never would have imagined lots of realtors blogging -- but there are! Makes sense as most people's home is one of their biggest purchases ever. A realtor blogging about the community they service and different areas and their pros and cons would generate a lot of interest, and trust, and business.
I never would have imagined lots of laywers blogging, but if I needed a lawyer and found one blogging who had the right expertise it would be perfect. I'd get to know them through their blog and whether I wanted to consider hiring them before even picking up the phone.
Ted calls it 'creativity.'
I think I would call it the personableness of blogging. Reading blogs is a way to get to know people. Writing blogs is a way for people to get to know you.
And if the blogs are not used for one or both of those purposes, they should be.
What do you think?
