There was one professor that everyone hated. However, due to student scheduling conflicts, his classes were always filled.
Even the very best students barely squeaked by with a "D" or the amazing "C" ruining their perfect 4.0 GPA. Most others failed.
When the professor died, one "C" student decided to attend the funeral thinking it would be a shame if no one but the immediate family was there.
When the student arrived she was amazed to see so many of her classmates and other former students there.
"Are you all here to pay your respects to our professor?" she asked.
"Nope," one after the other replied. "We are here to make sure he is really dead."
