"There is a tacit understanding at MIT that hacks -- the most adventurous of which are memorialized on the school's official website -- are tolerated as acts of brainy irreverence on a campus where pushing scientific boundaries and defying conventional wisdom are held up as ideals."
The students, equipped with metal tools and know-how, broke into the MIT faculty club late one night last October....and got caught by two MIT campus police officers.
Frisking and arrests revealed the students had "no legitimate reason for being in the Faculty Club Kitchen."
One was also charged with possession of burglary tools....a metal object to slide doors open and a multiple-use tool.
Seems like these three might get their names and activity on the roll at Hacks...but they may be reading it from inside a prison cell IF they can hack into the prison computer labs.
What's the most interesting prank you have ever done? or at least tried to do?
