Prestigious University Loses Deadly Chemicals

Part of a terrorist plot? Way too early to tell. And, in the end we hope to never find out.

Tokyo University is Japan's best. Today it is best at scaring the dickens out of Japan.

Some chemicals have gone missing...enough to kill 100 people.

The chemicals were in a biotechnology professor's laboratory in the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Tokyo.

The police have been called in to help find 16 grams of potassium cyanide, 5 grams of sodium cyanide, and 25 grams of sodium azide.

The chemicals are used for electrical plating but can cause problems when breathed in.

Just 0.2 - 0.3 grams is lethal.

Visions of the gas attack at Tokyo station a few year back suddenly come to mind.

How can such a prestigious university lose something so deadly?
