A Tokyo University, Japan's best, official was arrested for groping a woman.
Groping means "to touch or handle (someone) for sexual pleasure." Now, falling asleep and letting your arm slip is included.
The 53-year old official said, "I dozed off on the train and found my hand on the woman's leg when I woke up," He told police. "I'm sorry."
Sorry wasn't good enough.
The woman is saying that he stroked her thigh while sitting next to him on the train.
Let me see, would she have seen him fall asleep or not fall asleep? Did she take action before anything went awry?
Society says he is guilty with no way of proving himself innocent.
I have no way of knowing if the guy is guilty or not. But, stroking a women's thigh does not generally give a guy sexual pleasure.
I do know that women can accuse men of nearly anything while riding on a train in Japan and get away with it.![]()
This is payback to the many perverts who actually do grope women while riding on crowded trains.
Still, if the guy is not guilty, it's not right to hang him.
What do you think can be done in a case like this?
