10. California Institute of Technology - 20% (Still, if I had a one in five chance of getting into a school, I would think that was pretty good. But, you have to be at a certain level just to apply.
9. Washington University in St. Louis - 18% I admit that I never knew the 'show me' state had such a selective school, did you?
8. Dartmouth College - 19%
7. Brown University - 15%
6. Massachusetts Inst. of Technology - 14%
5. Columbia University - 13%
4. Stanford University - 12%
3. Princeton University - 11%
2. Yale University - 10%
1. Harvard University - 9%
I read some ungodly number that something like 90% of students with perfect scores on their SATS do NOT get into the Princetons, Yales and Harvards.
I wonder if these schools try to recruit more applicants just so they can turn them away to decrease their acceptance rate.
What do you think?

College manipulate data in 2 ways:
1.- Columbia accepts a large amount of students during early admission and thus leaving very few spots for their regular admissions applicants. 50% of their enrollement is done through the early admission process
2.- Wash U. accepts fewer students and put a large amount of students of their waiting list.
