A woman in China says she was fired by the Shanghai Jiaotong University Only Education Group because of her "unfavorable looks." That means the univeristy thought she was dog ugly and didn't want her scaring students away.

By contrast, Hong Kong tutoring companies hire the best looking teachers they can find and put them on billboards to attract students.

The 23-year old woman appealed to Xuhui District labor dispute arbitration office and won a settlement of 10,000 yuan, a refund of her training fee and her job back...but in the back room, promoting the company's charity work.

The young lady suffers from hydrocephalus (water on the brain) causing her to have an abnormally big head. She is not ugly and should not face discrimination.

The company denies any such discrimination.

Then, why did they have to pay a fine?
