Some of the best lessons I have learned in life come from people I never met.
I would like to share some of the 'words of wisdom' that I have picked up over the years.
Dwight Eisenhower said:
An intellectual is a man who takes more words than necessary to tell more than he knows.
(There are far too many of these types in academics today.) 
Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil and you’re a thousand mile from the corn field.
(Most things look easier from behind a desk.)
Leadership: the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it.
(The best way to get your kids to listen is to find out what they want to do and tell them to do it...anyone for that matter.)
Neither a wise man nor a brave man lies down on the track of history to wait for the train of the future to run over him.
(the best way to know the future is to make it.)
