Some of the best lessons I have learned in life come from people I never met.
I would like to share some of the 'words of wisdom' that I have picked up over the years.
Margaret Thatcher said:
You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.
(the opponent doesn't always give up the first or second time, neither should I.)
I do not know anyone who has got or gotten to the top without hard work. That is the recipe.
(hard work...her father was a grocer.) 
I’m extraordinarily patient provided I get my own way in the end.
(I've said this numerous times, while waiting for negotiations to come to fruition.)
Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.
(Being a leader is like...the same.)
People who stand in the middle of the road get hit by cars going in both directions.
(Make a decision and stick to it...we used to say in the Navy.)
