He is willing to pay 1000 Chinese dollars (abt $130) if "an honest, kind and similar-aged girl with a diploma" will pose as his girlfriend for 10 days during the upcoming Lunar New Year Holidays, China's biggest holiday season.
A trip to his hometown is included so that the boy can show her off to his parents.
Mom and dad have accused the physics student of studying too hard...but, apparently they haven't accused him of being resourceful...a strong trait of many Chinese.
Of course, the young lady will have to give up spending the holidays with her family.
1,000 yuan for 10 days works out to about 4 Chinese dollars an hour = 50 cents. And if mom and dad say they don't mind if their little stud and his partner sleep together...well, 1000 yuan becomes awful cheap.
