A 70-year old man in Hampton Bays, NY sat in front of a television for more than a year....dead.

The television was left on for the entire year+.

The medical examiner said he died of natural causes and his features were preserved because of the dry air. His face was recognizable and he still had hair.

Were it not for police responding to burst pipes, he might still be sitting there.

So, who paid his rent and his electric bill?

The neighbors thought he was in a hospital or nursing home and a ghost was watching the television.

Their words of wisdumb, "We never thought to check on him."
